My goal was to learn Klaviyo, an application to create newsletters, order confirmations and other emails within marketing. I’ve decided to recreate the newsletter for Georg Jensen Damask.
In this process I also learn how to mix my technicalities within Figma and develop a newsletter design, ready for Klaviyo.
Figma Design Process
I’ve started in Figma, making low-fidelity prototypes, so I also know what sections I need in my newsletter. When I felt pretty confident in my sections, I moved onto higher fidelities.
In my higher fidelity process, I attempted more to figure out how to lay it out aesthetically pleasing, but also making the user want to scroll down and read more.
From Figma to Klaviyo
Klaviyo works similarly to other familiar programs with a drag-and-drop feature, such as Elementor for WordPress or Wix. The program isn’t hard to get into, and with a finished design in Figma, it mostly went like a breeze designing and setting things up inside of Klaviyo.
Publishing and sending out test emails, is also easy. My whole process in Klaviyo was actually really user-friendly. I have the ability to create templates, reuse content and track my statistics.
